By the end of this unit you will be able to:

- talk about your health and being sick
- give advice about what to do, and not do (using надо, не надо, and imperatives)
- ask for and understand directions for getting to a location
- give basic directions for getting somewhere on foot
- name major tourist sites in and around Petersburg
- give your impressions of tourist sites and activities
- read and understand a small excerpt from Pushkin’s Евгений Онегин
- read and understand a text about tourist destinations around Irkutsk
- understand how a university's oral exam system of "tickets" works
- read and understand a story about taking oral exams in Russia
To achieve these outcomes, you will learn this information about the language:
- the у меня боли́т... construction to say something hurts
- the conjugation of the verbs чу́вствовать себя́ and болеть
- constructions of sentences using these two verbs
- the use of the reflexive pronoun свой
- the imperative forms of verbs
- the forms of soft adjectives (последний, синий, древний, etc.)
- terms related to exams and grading in Russia (сдава́ть/сдать экза́мен, пятёрка)
