Goals for Уро́к 4
By the end of this unit you will be able to:
- ask and tell about items that you and others do have / don't have
- discuss what makes a good apartment/room by telling what features/furnishings it has
- indicate who owns an object
- use features of a cityscape to say what there is / is not in a neighborhood
- give relative distances between places using "far," "not far" and "near to"
- ask and tell about one's background (where you are from, where you were born, etc)
- indicate the names of your family members using "зовут" with family vocabulary nouns
- ask about and explain where someone was born, lived and went to school / college
To achieve these outcomes, you will learn this information about the language:
- forms of the genitive case singular in Russian for nouns, adjectives and pronouns
- use of the genitive case to express ownership, absence, and "of" relations
- use of the genitive case with some prepositions (у, из, от)
- accusative case for animate masculine nouns
- past tense forms of verbs
- word который for linkage
